The rellocation of pets to Panama, mostly domestic animals (dogs & cats) is permitted under a mandatory quarantine regulated by the Quarantine Department of the Ministry of Rural Development (MIDA), together with Department of Control and Prevention of Zoonosis of the Ministry of Health (MINSA). The domiciliary quarantine is always allowed provided that all the legal papers of the animal are in order and in compliance with the health and administrative dispositions in force. The requirements needed to rellocate domestic animals or pets to Panama, are as follows:
